Siamese Twins

Once upon a time
In a land so far away
A strange sight was born
Unto the light of day.
Baby female twins
With sparkling violet eyes
But that's not the thing
That caused such great surprise.
Joined at the shoulder
Connected at the bone
Missing the shared arm
But with bodies of their own.
The parents drown in debt
The cost's too much to bear
One child they could raise
But they were born a pair.
Sold to a circus
Featured in a carny show
Poor little children
They had nowhere else to go.

As the years went by
They never felt alone
At least they had each other
While into teens they’d grown.
Hair shiny and black
Slender figures, tall
Skin so powdery white
A beautiful Siamese doll.

One drizzling spring day
While awestruck people stared
One man stood, unphased
A smile with them he shared.
The next morning he returned
And on them he did gaze
Bringing roses every evening
They longed for him for days.
Then he whispered to the girls
They nodded without wait
With him they now had
A chance to change their fate.
In the dark of night
After they'd left the stage
Their prince took them home
Freeing them from their cage.
Their new life like a dream
Warm in the man's embrace
Hand in hand in hand
They’d finally found their place.

Then one day he tires
Of caring for the two
Binding them while asleep
He knows just what to do.
Marketed as freaks
Sold into a new hell
Struggling to get free
Forced crying to their cell.
Their prince says goodbye
While they plead for his love
They thought that he would be
Their angel from above.
Far too late the twins
Have realized their mistake
And one last memory
The man decides to make.

He zips up his pants
After having double the fun
In big letters on the wall
The man writes, "Two fer one."
